A NEW KIND OF SUPPORT GROUP

ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN WHO NEED TO HEAL FROM THE BETRAYAL TRAUMA OF A PARENT AFFAIR

Over the last 4 years, I have spoken with hundreds of teens and adults about their experience of growing up with a cheating parent. I have also spoken with dozens of parents, concerned about how to help their adult children who they see struggling with the betrayal. From those conversations, I have crafted the outline of a new kind of support group, but I need your help to make the outline complete.

Are you a woman suffering from betrayal trauma because of a parent’s affair? Maybe you have tried therapy, but it didn’t help enough.

Do you have trust issues that keep you from enjoying romantic relationships, friendships, and family gatherings?

Do you feel isolated, misunderstood, and crave a space where you can truly be your whole self without judgement or the fear of betrayal?

I was there too. I know how easy it is for the betrayal trauma of a parents’ affair to fly under the radar in therapy. I know how hard it is to discuss with others, and yet when you don’t, you feel like you are not all of you. I know the debilitating fear that your partner will cheat on you, or that you will cheat on them.

I am developing a program to help women like us. This is incredibly important work and in order to create the most impactful and transformational program possible, I am looking to interview people who fit this description and learn more about their challenges, frustrations, dreams and goals. This is purely for research purposes to be able to create something truly impactful.
